WELCOME TO PORTAFERRY
DIVING on Strangford Lough
Writing in Scuba World, Vic Bonfant described the Strangford diving experience as "... paradise."
Bob Earl of UK Diving magazine called it ".. one of Britain's best and most neglected dive destinations."
The Lough is an almost perfect dive location - being sheltered means diving can proceed whatever the weather. There's a huge variety of marine species - more than 2000 in all and generally the water provides good visibility. A centre of commerce in the last century, the Lough has a considerable number of interesting wrecks.
