Tourist Information Centre
Located in the old Stables building in Castle Street (see Map) the Tourist
Information Centre is an essential port of call for all visitors
to the town. Helpful staff will provide all information as well
as leaflets, maps etc. An all Ireland reservation
system as well as fax and photocopying facilities and an
excellent shop containing exclusive souvenirs of your visit.
The Stall is a small exhibition area which gives an indication of Portaferry's past, and upstairs The Loft provides an audio visual presentation detailing the history of Norman Tower Houses in the area. The Tower House is actually Portaferry Castle which is situated beside the information centre.
